About The Helpful Hand
The Helpful Hand (originally Saville Street Garage Ltd) is a Cheshire based family owned and run company founded in 1963 by Mr John Paddock. We have provided a first class sales and service to our clients for more than 40 years.
The Helpful Hand is a member of the British Association of Wheelchair Distributors section of the B.H.T.A. and abide by their code of practice as approved by the OFT, we are agents for all of the UK’s leading manufactures and suppliers of mobility and homecare equipment.
Our recently refurbished showroom complete with its own fully disabled access toilet facility, and private car park at 6-8 Chester Rd Macclesfield holds a large stock of new and used power chairs, Lightweight active user manual wheelchairs, scooters and stairlifts , all prepared for sale by our factory trained staff in our onsite purpose built workshop.
We are able to arrange home demonstations for customers unable to visit our shop or we may collect customers via our courtesy car collection scheme (within 30 mile radius of Macclesfield) subject to availability). We may also be able to offer for hire certain powerchairs, scooters (minimum 1 week) and stairlifts (minimum 3 months).
We can call out to major cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool for mobility demonstrations.
We provide a washable Anti-suffocation Pillow to Hospitals & Private patients alike, for use by suffers of Epilepsy We are also able to provide a postal service for most items we sell, for customers not able to visit our shops most major credit cards are acceptable
